As an adult, I don't see the big deal with these dolls with large heads and tiny bodies. But then again, what's so great about Barbie - more plastic right? My daughter ADORES these dolls. My daughter is seven years old and never really took to Barbie, Bratz, Cabbage Patch, any of those, but these dolls with their "life stories" about when they came to life, where their personalities came from etc fascinate her. She memorizes that facts of each one - the birth dates, where they came to life, and their personality as written on the box. There is nothing extremely impressive about the doll in particular, but the time taken to create stories for each one and having each box decorated with different backgrounds to match the dolls stories is enchanting to little girls. They also come with posters that show what their house looks like, the boxes are very oddly shaped so when they see this wrapped under the tree they know what it is, and the boxes have special cute handles to match each dolls' colors as well. The website and box keep the little girls excited about collecting them and imagining what the Lalaloopsy world is like. Look them up on youtube and you'll see a million little girls talking about them. We take a different Lalaloopsy on every trip, always one in tow.
